Prospect Profile: Brittney Griner

San Antonio holds four selections in the 2013 WNBA Draft – one first round, two second rounds and one third round. The Silver Stars have the No. 8 overall pick as well as the No. 16, No. 20, and No. 32 selections.

The 2012 Wade Trophy, Wooden Award and Naismith Trophy winner, Griner led Baylor to its second National Championship as a junior, earning Final Four Most Outstanding Player accolades. A three-time All-American, Griner is the Big 12 Conference career blocks leader and entered her senior season 64 blocks shy of the NCAA career blocks record.

The first NCAA player to score 2,000 points and block 500 shots, Griner has scored in double-figures in 88-consecutive games and in 118 games of her 120 career as of December 11, 2012. Strengths
