Six of the seven Silver Stars abroad were in action last week as Chinese League play opened.

Danielle Adams
11/19 at Elitzur Holon – W, 95-68 – 20 points, 5 rebounds
11/26 vs. Elitzur Ramla – W, 87-69 – 26 points, 6 rebounds

Adams helped Maccabi Ashdod remain undefeated (4-0) on the season with a pair of 20-point efforts. She had 20 points and five rebounds in a 95-68 win at Elitzur Holon before netting a season-high 26 points in an 87-69 win against Elitzur Ramla.

Jayne Appel
11/17 at Laioning – L, 73-82 – 27 points, 9 rebounds
11/20 at Shen Bu – L, 75-99 – 15 points, 9 rebounds
11/24 at Heilongjiang – L, 68-77 – 33 points, 21 rebounds, 5 blocks
11/27 vs. Jiangsu – L, 69-71 – 23 points, 19 rebounds, 4 steals

Appel and Henan lost four-straight games over the past two weeks, moving to 4-6 overall on the season. Appel averaged 24.5 points and 14.5 rebounds per game through the four losses.

She currently leads the WCBA in rebounds per game (15.9) while ranking third in scoring average (27.0) and blocks per game (2.4). Appel has notched seven double-doubles through the 10 games this season.

Becky Hammon
11/18 vs. Rostov – W, 77-48 – 10 points
11/21 at Wisla Can Pack* - L, 64-76 – 2 points, 2 rebounds
11/26 at Dynamo GUVD – W, 84-45 – 5 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists

Hammon and Spartak V MR improved to 3-2 in domestic league play with wins against Rostov, 77-48, and Dynamo GUVD, 84-45. Hammon totaled 15 points, 4 rebounds and six assists through the pair of wins.

The club also dropped a 64-76 decision to Wisla Can Pack in Poland in EuroLeague play. Spartak is tied for first in Group A with a 4-1 overall record.

Shenise Johnson
11/17 vs. Vasas – W, 80-38 – 7 points, 3 rebounds
11/21 vs. Targoviste* - L, 82-87 – 23 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 steals
11/25 at PECS – W, 69-58 – 16 points, 5 rebounds
11/28 at Nadezhda* - L, 69-73 – 26 points, 4 rebounds
Johnson helped Sopron maintain its standing as the only undefeated team in Hungarian League play (11-0) with a pair of domestic league wins. She leads the Hungarian League in steals per game (3.0) while ranking sixth in scoring average (14.2) and seventh in rebounds per game (6.3).

Johnson also notched a 26 point effort in Sopron’s 69-73 EuroLeague loss to Nadezhda. She leads the EuroLeague in points per game (22.5) while ranking fourth in steals per game (2.8). Johnson also ranks ninth in EuroLeague in rebounds per game (8.3) as the only player under 6-feet tall to crack the EuroLeague rebounding top 25.

Ziomara Morrison
11/16 at Burgos – W, 75-62 – 14 points, 9 rebounds, 2 blocks
11/21 at IMOS Brno* - W, 66-59 – 2 rebounds
11/24 vs. Conquero – W, 83-62 – 13 points, 7 rebounds
11/28 vs. Wisla Can Pack* - L, 62-66 – 4 points, 8 rebounds

Morrison helped Rivas Ecopolis remain undefeated in domestic league play (7-0) notching 13 points and seven rebounds in an 83-62 win against Conquero.

Rivas is also 3-2 in EuroLeague play, most recently falling to Polish club Wisla Can Pack, 62-66, on Wednesday. Morrison had eight rebounds in the loss.

Danielle Robinson
11/18 at Antayka – W, 84-71 – 22 points, 3 rebounds, 8 assists, 3 steals
11/22 at Gyor* - L, 72-81 – 15 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists
11/24 at Fenerbahce – L, 60-77 – 9 points, 2 rebounds

Robinson and Tarsus defeated Antyka, 84-71 in Turkish League play before falling on the road to Gyor, 72-81, in EuroLeague competition and Fenerbahce.

Robinson is averaging 14.75 points per game with 4.25 rebounds and 2.75 assists per game in EuroLeague play and 13.2 points per game with 2.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists in Turkish League action.

11/17 vs. Jiangsu – W, 78-68 – 8 points, 8 rebounds
11/20 vs. Guangdong – W, 74-68 – 13 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists
11/24 at Shanghai – W, 81-75 – 17 points, 13 rebounds, 3 steals
11/27 at Yun Nan – L, 75-82 – 12 points, 10 rebounds

Young and Beijing have posted wins in four of their last five games, improving to 5-5 on the season. Young notched double-doubles – her third and fourth of the season – in the teams two most recent games – a win at Shanghai and a loss at Yun Nan.
