Six of the seven Silver Stars abroad were in action last week as Chinese League play opened.

Danielle Adams
11/5 at Hapoel Lezion – W, 74-64 – 6 points, 5 rebounds

Adams helped Maccabi Ashdod jump out to a 1-0 start in Israeli League play with a 74-64 win at Hapoel Lezion in the season opener. Adams had six points and five rebounds in the win.

Jayne Appel
11/10 vs. Guangdong – W, 76-75 – 23 points, 11 rebounds
11/13 vs. Yun Nan – L, 101-108 – 37 points, 20 rebounds, 4 blocks

Appel and Henan (4-2) split a pair of Chinese League games over the last week, defeated Guangdong on Sunday before falling to Yun nan on Tuesday. Appel recorded a double-double in each contest, posting a season-high 37 points in the loss to Henan. She has recorded a double-double in five of the six regular-season games to date.

Appel is averaging 28.7 points per game with 16.8 rebounds and 2.8 blocks per game on the season.

Becky Hammon
11/11 vs. Nedezhda – L, 75-87 – 17 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals
11/14 vs. IMOS Brno* - W, 95-63 – 6 points

Hammon and Spartak V MR fell to Nedezhda, 75-87, in Russian League play in Sunday before defeating IMOS Brno on Wednesday, 95-63, to remain undefeated in EuroLeague play on the season.

Hammon is averaging 12.3 points per game with 3.3 assists and 3.0 rebounds per game in domestic league play and 9.0 points per game and 2.0 assists per game in EuroLeague contests.

Shenise Johnson
11/11 vs. Gyor – W, 81-58 – 15 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assists, 5 steals
11/14 at Fenerbahce* – L, 71-76 – 20 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals

Johnson helped Sopron maintain its standing as the only undefeated team in Hungarian League play (7-0) with an 81-58 win against Gyor. Johnson had 15 points, three rebounds and five steals in the Sunday win.

She followed that up with a team-best 20 points and 10 rebounds in Sopron’s 71-76 EuroLeague loss at Fenerbahce on Wednesday.

Johnson currently leads the EuroLeague in scoring average with 21.5 points per game through four games.

Ziomara Morrison
11/10 vs. Navarra – W, 64-53 – 14 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks
11/14 vs. Gyor* - W, 84-65 – 15 points, 3 rebounds

Morrison helped Rivas Ecopolis remain undefeated in domestic league play (5-0) notching 14 points, eight rebounds and a pair of blocks in Saturday’s win against Navarra. Morrison and Rivas then earned their second EuroLeague win (2-1) against Gyor on Wednesday, 84-65. Morrison had a season-high 15 points in the win while adding three rebounds.

Danielle Robinson
11/10 vs. Mersin – W, 80-73 – 16 points, 5 assists
11/14 vs. Bourges* - L, 61-65 – 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals

Robinson and Tarsus defeated Mersin in Turkish League play, 80-73, on Saturday before falling to visiting Bourges in EuroLeague play, 61-65, on Wednesday. Robinson had 16 points and five assists in the domestic league win and added 16 points, four rebounds and a pair of assists in the EuroLeague loss.

Sophia Young
11/10 at Heilongjiang – L, 71-82 – 16 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals
11/13 at Ba Yi – W, 82-69 – 17 points, 6 rebounds, 3 steals

Young and Beijing split a pair of road games on the week, losing at Heilongjiang on Saturday, 71-82, before defeating Ba Yi, 82-69. Young had 16 points, four rebounds and two steals in Saturday’s loss while adding 17 points, six rebounds and three steals in Tuesday’s win.
