Silver Stars @ Minnesota Lynx
San Antonio visits the defending WNBA Champions in the Target Center for the second time in 2012. The Silver Stars are 1-1 against the Lynx this season, but are winless in their last six trips to Minnesota.
Silver Stars vs. Connecticut Sun
San Antonio breaks from conference action to host the Connecticut Sun, who lead the Eastern Conference heading into the week. The Silver tars lost to Connecticut, 79-83, in the second game of the season.
Silver Stars @ Phoenix
San Antonio returns to Phoenix 13 days after handing the Mercury their worst loss in franchise history with an 89-47 win. It marks the final meeting of the regular season between the two Western Conference Foes.
Silver Stars Notes
Playoff Bound: With its 91-71 win over Tulsa on Saturday, the Silver Stars clinched their sixth-consecutive playoff spot. San Antonio joins Minnesota and Los Angeles as the three teams to clinch postseason bids.
Win Streak: San Antonio ended its franchise-record 12-game win streak with a 77-101 loss at Los Angeles on Thursday. The franchis-best win streak was also tied for third best in WNBA history with the Connecticut Sun, who won 12 consecutive games from July 16-Aug. 9, 2006. Home Win Streak: Despite having its overall win streak snapped, the Silver Stars enter the week riding a franchise-record nine-game win streak at the AT&T Cetner this season. San Antonio has not lost at home since a 63-77 loss to Chicago in its home opener on May 30.
Breast Health Awareness Auction: The Silver Stars hostedther annual postgame Breast Health Awareness jersey auction on Saturday night, raising $41,200. The proceeds from the auction will benefit the Christus Santa Rosa Mobile Mammography Unit and Silver & Black Give Back. Click here to learn more about the auction.
All-Decade Team: In celebration of its 10th Anniversary Season, the Silver Stars will be honoring an All-Decade Team. Fans will have the opportunity to vote for 10 All-Decade Team selections from a ballot of 26 players who played at least 50 games for the Silver Stars between 2003 and 2012. Voting on SASilverstars.com began last week and will run through midnight on Friday, Sept. 7. Two All-Decade Team Selections will be announced at each of the Silver Stars' final five regular-season home games beginning Sunday, Sept. 9. Click here to vote for your favorites!
Second-year guard Danielle Robinson helped lead the Silver Stars to a 2-1 week with 46 points, 12 rebounds and 12 assists through the three games. Robinson had a season-high 22 points and a team-high tying five rebounds at Los Angeles on Thursday. She led the team with six assists against Tulsa on Saturday before selling her game-worn jersey for $2,700 in the Breast Health Awareness auction.
Robinson ranks second on the team with 4.3 assists per game while averaging 9.5 points per game and shooting a team-high 55.3 percent from the field on the season.
