Led by Head Coach Patrick Harvey, the Brackenridge Lady Eagles are ranked second in district 28-4A and 10th in the state according to the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches Poll with an overall record of 25-4. Coach Harvey reached the 200-win milestone with the Eagles last season and continues to provide the team with great leadership.

The Lady Eagles are led by senior Dorene Ramirez and Karina Herrera and have received excellent play from juniors Miranda Acuna and Breeann Hernandez. Sophomore and 100m dash state meet qualifier Tevis Thomas has helped solidify the team defensively while freshman Skyler Reyna provides a much needed spark off the bench.

Notable wins this season include victories over Madison, Roosevelt, Marshall, Clark, Smithson Valley and Floresville.

    During the 2012-13 offseason, the San Antonio Silver Stars have teamed up with the US Army to present the Army Strong High School Team of the Week. This program recognizes varsity girls’ basketball teams in Texas whose athletes demonstrate sportsmanship and leadership on and off the basketball court. Every Tuesday, beginning in January and running through March, the Silver Stars select a team that succeeds beyond the win-loss column and makes a difference in its school and community.

    Each winning team will receive a visit from Silver Stars Head Coach and General Manager Dan Hughes and a US Army representative as well as tickets to a 2013 Silver Stars regular-season home game.
