Los Angeles Sparks Host Health and Wellness Night
The Los Angeles Sparks are hosting their annual Health and Wellness Night presented by the LA County Tobacco Control and Prevention Program on Thursday, September 13 when the Sparks take on the Chicago Sky at 7:30PM at STAPLES Center.
A number of companies and organizations will be present in the concourse supporting healthy lifestyles when the Sparks look to further secure second place in the Western Conference on Thursday.
The Los Angeles Department of Public Health will be on hand providing a variety of services with many of their departments: The Office of Women's Health will be providing information and resources on how to improve the health status of women. The HIV/AIDS Program Campaign - Erase Doubt will give information on how to get tested for HIV/AIDS and safe sex practices to prevent infection. The Nutrition Program will be handing out recipe books for healthy nutricious meal options. Tobacco Prevention and Control, a champion partner of the Sparks, will provide information on tobacco free living and will be present in the arena.
Majesco Entertainment invites fans to get active with two new video games guaranteed to make fans sweat while having fun. NBA Baller Beats challenges you to use a real ball to gain real skills, as you bounce the ball to the beat across an electrifying soundtrack. Zumba® Fitness Core lets you dance your way to flat, sexy abs, with 40 hot tracks and over 30 dance styles. Ralph's Pharmacy will also be present on the concourse before and during the game, providing fans with free health screenings.
