LASparks.com: How does it feel to be back so far?LASparks.com: What was it like playing overseas for the first time?
SB: It was definitely an adjustment playing overseas for my first season. I went to Turkey and I learned a lot. My team didn’t make the playoffs but it was a great learning experience for me.
LASparks.com: Do you feel like you got better as a player? And what did you work on?
SB: Yes, I feel like I got better as a player, as far as learning the game—my IQ getting better and I worked on my mid-range pull-up, for the most part.
LASparks.com: So what’s it been like going through your 2nd training camp?
SB: It’s been good because everything that we’re going through, I expected and I got a heads up on what we were going to do in training camp. It’s been great so far.
LASparks.com: What do you think about all the additions that the team has made in the offseason?
SB: The additions that the LA Sparks made were great. It’s like the Olympic team all over again. I’m just happy to be on this team and play with these young ladies.
LASparks.com: What expectations do you have for yourself and for the team for this year?
SB: The expectations for myself would be getting everybody the ball—satisfying everyone. My expectation for the whole team is just to win a championship.
LASparks.com: Since we’ve been having 2-a-days, what do you do during the time when you don’t have to be in the gym?
SB: I get treatment, then I go home and take a rest and think about coming in for the 2nd practice, competing, and what I have to do better from what I didn’t do in the first practice.
