MVPs Enjoy the 2009 Holiday Open House
Nearly 300 Sparks season ticket holders were in attendance on Saturday, December 5 for the 2009 Holiday Open House at CiUDAD in downtown Los Angeles.
The annual event held each year is exclusive to Sparks MVPs, to thank them for their continued support of the Sparks.

Fans arrived early, eager to mingle and hear from team officials and owners about happenings in the off season and plans for 2010. Generous fans brought gift cards from their favorite stores to donate to the Joy for Jenesse Gift Card Drive.
After fans had a chance to meet and greet with one another, Co-Owners Carla Christofferson and Kathy Goodman spoke to the crowd. They shared their thoughts on last season, the playoff race and their eagerness for the Summer to arrive so they can see the Sparks in action once again.
Vice President and General Manager Penny Toler spoke next and gave the fans an update on the search for a head coach. She explained how she expects the upcoming Sparks team to be ready to play with each other. She also talked about Lisa Leslie’s final year and introduced the special guest of the holiday party.
Lisa answered questions from fans about her plans in the off season, her thoughts on having a baby boy in 2010 and thanked fans for their tireless support of her throughout her career with the Sparks. She joked that if fans were unhappy with whoever the new coach was, all they had to do was ask and she would take over.

A raffle was held for all fans in attendance, with three lucky fans bringing home a signed jersey from Lisa Leslie or Penny Toler and an autographed Candace Parker WNBA ball.
Fans also had an opportunity to buy memorabilia from the Sparks entire 13 seasons. From trading cards to signed jerseys, posters to stuffed animals, there were more items than even the most collected Sparks fan could imagine.
To be a part of this special event next season, all you have to do is become a Sparks season ticket holder. Find out more by calling 1-877-44-SPARKS or emailing tickets@la-sparks.com.
