USA Wins Gold

The 2014 USA Basketball Women’s World Championship Team (6-0) rolled through the 2014 FIBA World Championship undefeated and claimed a second-straight gold medal at the event with a dominating 77-64 win over Spain (5-1) on Sunday night at Fenerbahce Arena in Istanbul, Turkey. READ MORE

Candace Parker had it going on Sunday, when she scored 21 points. The Sparks, however, did not in a 93-68 loss to the visiting Mercury. Nneka Ogwumike was good for 14 points, but L.A. was done in by a 34-25 rebounding deficit and 1-for-12 3-point shooting as the Sparks' season ended in a first-round playoff sweep.
