With the glitter of Hollywood as a backdrop and with southern California style, the Ole Skool Crew is a saucy mixture of energetic mid-lifers and dance moves. Each of their entertaining and energizing routines is set to the tunes from the 70’s, and 80’s.

The Ole Skool Crew was born in the summer of 2004, as seventy mid-life men and women from Los Angeles and its surrounding communities came to the HealthSouth Training Center in El Segundo, California to strut their stuff. The audition process ended with the final twenty dancers being selected based on the criteria of dancing technique, enthusiasm and fan pride.

On July 7, 2004 Ole Skool Crew made their debut on the floor of STAPLES Center at the Los Angeles Sparks game against the Phoenix Mercury. With overwhelming fan reaction and signature dance moves the Ole Skool Crew quickly became a fan favorite and performed at several Los Angeles Sparks home games throughout the 2004 season.

In 2005 the Ole Skool Crew rocked STAPLES Center and the Los Angeles community again. The Ole Skool Crew grooved on the court at numerous Sparks games during the 2005 regular season and post season. During the season, the Ole Skool Crew took their infectious personalities to the airwaves with appearances on KTLA-TV (The WB) Morning Show, “Wednesday’s Child” segment for FOX 11 News, and radio morning shows for KOST 103.5, KGGI 99.1, KJLH 102.3. They also supported the Sparks in the community with appearances at the NBC4 Health Fair, the Hollywood Christmas Parade, and filmed an American Red Cross (Los Angeles Chapter) PSA which will air during the 2006 season.

The flava of the 2006 Ole Skool Crew is a mixture of 10 women of different shapes, sizes and ethnic backgrounds from age 40 and up who either have professional dance or choreography experience or are just fulfilling a life long fantasy to entertain. Each one of these diverse women could hold their own on the dance floor against the most seasoned hip-hop dancer half their age – but together, they form one of the most fan-popular and arena shaking dance troupes in sports entertainment.

Validating their presence in the hip-hop culture predominate in today’s society…the Ole Skool Crew will once again entertain and interact with thousands of Los Angles Sparks fans at home games throughout the 2006 season, while representing the diversity of the Los Angeles community with southern California style.
