The Sparks had a presence the entire day at the jr. nba/wnba championships at Pan Pacific Park. Pati Freund represented the ticketing department and had a booth set up with season ticket information and a raffle for a Lisa Leslie bobble head doll. (Ticket vouchers for the home opener were placed in each tournament goodie bag for the participants earlier in the week) Community Relations also had a booth that provided booster club information, Sparks giveaways, and a free raffle featuring five mini basketballs, three Sparks basketballs, a hat, a flag, and an autographed Lisa Leslie jersey. At 2:45pm, Doneeka Hodges and Christi Thomas arrived and signed autographs and posed for photographs with each of the teams. The Sparks also took part in the award’s ceremony by handing out medals to the runner’s up and championship trophies to the winner’s of each division.
