On Thursday February 16, 2006 Sparks Forward Chamique Holdsclaw attended the Black “Her-story” Poetry Night from 7:00-8:00 PM in the student union on the campus of California State University Northridge. Several members of the student body, including affiliates of the Women’s Studies Student Association, showcased their personal works and those of famous writers. Holdsclaw, who has a passion for poetry along with basketball, praised the students for their willingness to share their thoughts openly with her and the other students in attendance.
