The Sparks were represented by Mwadi Mabika at Edison Elementary School in Burbank on Friday March 24, 2006 from 9:00-10:30am. In spirit of National Nutrition Month and National School Breakfast Week, Mwadi joined State Superintendent Jack O’Connell and the faculty at Edison to help kick off the district’s new School Wellness Policy. To emphasize the importance of eating a healthy breakfast, all students were served a free meal of assorted juices, fruit, milk, and cereal. Later, they participated in a hip-hop physical activity led by the local YMCA instructor.
