The Trader Joe's "Hoops for Hunger" campaign is coming to LA!

For every Sparks 3-point basket made at STAPLES center during the 2008 regular season, Trader Joe's will donate $75 as part of their initiative to combat hunger.
All proceeds will benefit the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank.

Trader Joe’s does pretty much everything with a twist of adventure and spirit. So they’ve challenged the Sparks to join in the fight against hunger by performing at peak levels. It’s a win-win for everyone! Plus, it’s a whole lot of fun.

Los Angeles Regional Foodbank is a nonprofit charitable organization that has been serving the disadvantaged of our community for 35 years. They are at the heart of a charitable food distribution network that includes nearly 900 charitable agency sites in Los Angeles County.

For the "Pay it Forward" game on July 14 against the San Antonio Silver Stars, please bring in canned food to benefit the Los Angeles Regional Foodbank. Not only is it a great way to give to the less fortunate but HCA points will be awarded as well.
