The Los Angeles Sparks have selected the Monroe High School Lady Vikings as the Team of the Week presented by NikeWomen.com for the week of January 12th-16th. After losing just about everyone to graduation, the Lady Vikings welcomed two freshmen guards and a host of players from their Junior Varsity team to the squad. The team jumped out to a rocky start in the 2008-2009 season but in the last week won two games, one of those with only five players dressing. The Lady Vikings were selected as Team of the Week for their determination, perserverance and willingness to give their all.
