Sparks Owner, GM, and President Hit the Hardwood

On Sunday, March 11,the Sparks participated in the Get in the Game Lady Lawyers League tournament at the student activities center on the campus of UCLA. Owners Kathy Goodman and Carla Christofferson addressed the 40 participants before Christofferson met team president Nancy Spears and general manager Penny Toler on the court for some fierce competition. Teammates Christofferson and Toler finished 3-1 while Spears’ squad finished 1-3. At the end of the tourney, Sparks staff members raffled off three Sparks autographed jerseys to the hard working teams. The Lady Lawyers League offers unique opportunities for women to be physically active while getting to know current and future colleagues in a fun setting. With participants representing various legal careers, law firms and law schools, women are able to network and explore various professional opportunities, all while perfecting their jump shot.
