Dana Dixon’s mother and sister were both cheerleaders, so it is safe to say that cheer is in her blood. Dana comes from a family of very (very) entertaining Cajun’s. She sticks out like a strawberry in a bowl of peas! Throughout her childhood she studied Classical ballet and began cheerleading in Jr. High. During her high school years, her squad competed on a national level. She went on to cheer professionally for the USFL Tampa Bay Bandits (Burt Reynold's team) in the 80’s.
A second-generation flight attendant for American Airlines, Dana loves to fly. She enjoys her LAX-JFK route immensely and working business class because there is “never a dull moment.” When not in the air, she and her husband Robert, a performance driver/instructor and South Bay BMW sales person, are busy raising their 5 and 8 year old sons. Even before dancing with the Ole Skool Crew, Dana would groove whenever she heard music - whether while driving or in the grocery store. Her boys often say, “Mom, stop it, you’re embarrassing us!”
Dana is ecstatic to be a part of this dance team, “To have an opportunity to dance, cheer and perform again at 46 years of age is priceless! I am definitely living my dream and have the Ole Skool Crew and L.A. Sparks to thank for it.”
