Michelle Williams Pays Surprise Visit to the Boys and Girls Club

Recording artist Michelle Williams surprised a group of 30 girls with an appearance at the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Boys and Girls Club on Monday. The girls, who are part of the Boys & Girls Club basketball league and the Smart Girls Program, got to hear firsthand why Williams decided to invest in the Sky. "I could spend a lot of money on things like houses and clothes," Williams said, "but doing this seemed really meaningful. I have a soft spot for Chicago and this is an important step for the city."

Williams, who was announced as a minority owner of the Sky, answered questions from the girls and signed autographs. During the Q and A she told the girls, “Sometimes you will find it hard to keep going; but remember to find that one special person who you can talk to and trust and they will help keep you on the right path.”
