Stacey Lovelace-Tolbert on Life and Hoops

Chicago Sky forward Stacey Lovelace-Tolbert, addressed sixth through eighth grade basketball players and their coaches and parents at Washington Junior High School in Naperville on March 8.

Stacey talked to the players about her life as a high school scholar/athlete as well as her life as a professional basketball player with the WNBA.

The event, sponsored by the North Central College Students in Free Enterprise (SIFE) organization, was designed to help the young players learn the importance of ethical behavior in sports, business, and life. Prior to Stacey’s presentation, the SIFE team led small-group discussions on the importance of ethical decision-making and the impact individual choices on teams, organizations, and the community.

Stacey fielded audience questions after her presentation, posed for photographs and then signed autographs on everything from the girls’ sneakers to warm-up jerseys to pictures of Stacey.
