Warley Contract Terminated

The Chicago Sky have terminated forward Avery Warley’s contract as replacement player. Warley joined the Sky on August 3 after reserve point guard Sharneé ZollNorman and center Carolyn Swords were sidelined with injuries leaving the Sky with less than 10 active players.

Warley started the 2013 season with the New York Liberty. There, she averaged 3.0 points and 4.9 rebounds during her eight games. While at the Sky, Warley played in 10 games, averaging 1.2 points and 2.1 rebounds.

Warley, a graduate of Liberty University, was an All-Big South First Team member in 2010. In 2011 she played as a member of the USA Women’s Basketball team at the Pan American Games.

The Sky take on the defending WNBA champions the Indiana Fever on Friday, September 6 at Allstate Arena for “Military Night”. The game begins at 6 p.m. CT and airs locally on The U Too and on WNBA Live Access. Visit www.chicagosky.net or call 866-SKY-WNBA for ticket package information.
