Reeve, Augustus like light shining on Title IX this weekend

The Lynx and Chicago Sky wore jerseys with a big Roman numeral "IX" on the front of them. And Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve was repeatedly asked this week about Title IX. She didn't mind the questions at all.

After big first half, Lynx held on against Chicago for another win

'As the top two offensive teams, field goal percentage-wise, and the top two defensive teams, field-goal percentage wise, it was a hard game. Both teams were very, very physical. I thought that Chicago played well. They took us out of our stuff.' Especially in the first seven minutes of the third quarter when the Sky outscored the home team 12-0 to get within five points.

Sky begin life without Prince

'You don't try to minimize the loss of someone who has had such a special start to the season,' Sky coach Pokey Chatman said. 'You can't replace her with one person. So collectively as a staff and as a team … you have to cut a little harder, rebound a little more, play a little tougher defense and really lock in.'

Chicago Sky Gospel Night to showcase Marvin Sapp

The Chicago Sky announced today it will host a night of gospel, family, faith and fun on Sunday, July 1st, in a home game at Allstate Arena against the Atlanta Dream. Sheila Simon, Wittenberg University class of 1983, broke new ground during her collegiate career as a student-athlete. Her achievements, both as an All-American high jumper and as a lawyer who has risen to the position of Lt. Governor of the state of Illinois, are being celebrated by the Chicago Sky of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) throughout the 2012 season.

The Sky's the limit for Sydney Carter, added to Chicago Sky WNBA roster

The Chicago Sky professional women’s basketball organization announced today that Texas A&M graduate and four-year letterman Sydney Carter was added to the team’s roster today. The talented point guard was drafted 27th in the 2012 draft by the Sky, but had been waived during training camp.
