Sky Support Squad Visits DePaul

On Thursday, December 7th, the Sky Support Squad was out in full effect at DePaul University where the Blue Demons took on Rutgers University. Being huge fans and supporters of the women’s game, the Sky Support Squad was particularly interested in catching this match up as Sky guard Chelsea Newton was back in town as a member of the Rutgers coaching staff.

Sky team owner Michael Alter and team president and CEO Margaret Stender, were in attendance, as well as many other Sky staff members and of course, plenty of Sky fans! In addition Newton’s teammates Amanda Lassiter and Brooke Wyckoff made it out to the game to show their support and love of the game.

The game itself was extremely exciting and fast paced, as #18 DePaul defeated #19 Rutgers, 87-73. DePaul was led by Allie Quigley, who scored a career high 37 points.

Interested in being a member of the Sky Support Squad? It’s easy! Just join in next time the Sky Support Squad has an outing. Check back soon on the Sky calendar for January’s dates. All are welcome, can't wait to see you there!
