Sky Hit 5-1 on Third Straight Comeback; Beat Shock in OT 98-91
(Chicago) Despite leading by one at the half, the Sky struggled most of the night and fell behind by as many as seven, before fighting back for the third straight game in miraculous fashion. Once again Epiphanny Prince tied the game with a desperation three-pointer with no time on the clock to send the game into overtime.
Prince, coming off back-to-back career scoring nights, continues to amaze as she paced the Sky with 32 points despite multiple Shock defenders trying to deny her the basket on every possession.
Tamera Young added a season high 16 points off the bench. Sylvia Fowles scored 14 points and grabbed a team record-tying 21 rebounds, her sixth straight double-double to start the season. She has also now scored in double digits in 74 straight games.
Glory Johnson scored 17 points for the Shock. Scholandra Dorrell added 17 and Ivory Latta scored 20 points off the bench.
The Sky (5-1) head to New York to play the Liberty on Sunday, while the Shock (0-7) will take on Minnesota tomorrow.
