Tuesday the Sky Cares Foundation held its annual Chicago Sky Fitness Festival at Allstate Arena. Stations at this year's festival included an inflatable obstacle course, a hula-hoop contest, zumba lessons, a football toss, ruby lessons and a Double Dutch station.

"The goal of the fitness festival is to expose our youth, especially young girls, to a variety of ways to stay active throughout the day and leave them with a foundation to make healthy choices in every day situations," said Erika Swilley, the team's Director of Community Relations & Operations and the Sky Cares President.

This year's Sky Cares Fitness Festival featuring 15 unique stations was sponsored by Girls in the Game, Corner Bakery, Pepsi, Jewel-Osco and brought in over 500 kids. The Chicago Bandits and Chicago Force also hosted interactive booths at the festival.

Thanks to the Chicago Sky's legacy partners, all participants received a free ticket to the Sky's game against the Indiana Fever on Tuesday night, a gift bag, and a dinner donated by Jewel-Osco, Corner Bakery and Pepsi.

The Chicago Sky Fitness Festival is also part of the WNBA's league-wide WNBA Fit initiative that encourages girls and women of all ages to learn more about their bodies and the importance of physical fitness through programs related to health, fitness, nutrition and self-esteem.
