Resurrection Project Basketball Clinic
On Thursday, June 21st the Chicago Sky teamed up with The Resurrection Project to host a basketball clinic for children ranging in age from 7-18. The Resurrection Project’s sole mission is to promote building relationships between children from different Chicago-land areas and to discourage joining a gang. They host a summer basketball league every Friday in different areas so that youth can interact with a variety of kids who live in Chicago.
Sky players Dominique Canty, Chastity Melvin, Brooke Wycoff, and Assistant Coach Stephanie White were in attendance along with Sky staff members to teach the youth participants fundamentals of the game. After the participants completed a variety of offensive and defensive drills, the Sky players held a question and answer session and concluded the clinic by signing autographs and distributing Sky merchandise.
