On Friday, August 28 the Sky will be hosting a “PINK OUT” at their Breast Health Awareness game. All fans are encouraged to wear pink to the game to show their support for those affected by breast cancer.
This game is part of the WNBA’s initiative to generate awareness and educate women on what can be done to fight breast cancer. The Sky is hosting a variety of activities to raise funds for the initiative and honor survivors and patients who have been affected by breast cancer. Fans are encouraged to nominate breast cancer survivors who have served as an inspiration to others as they overcame the disease. Below, we would like you to share your story about how the nominee has impacted your life and inspired those around them. The Sky athletes will review these nominations and choose five survivors to be honored at half time of the game. All nominees will receive a free ticket to watch the Sky battle the New York Liberty. In addition, the Sky will be hosting a silent auction during the game. Fans will have the opportunity to bid on various autographed items and experience packages, including the pink Breast Health Awareness basketballs and shooting shirts. All proceeds from the silent auction will benefit breast cancer research and awareness. |
