Seaman 1st Class Francis Vock served in the United States Navy during World War 2 from 1943 to 1946. He was part of the Underwater Demolition Team which is now known as the Navy Seals. He was stationed at Fort Paris Florida and was then shipped throughout the South Pacific. He was honorably discharged and received awards including the American Area Ribbon, and the World War 2 Victory Medal. The number of World War 2 veterans remaining is dwindling at a fast rate of about 1000 dying each day and we are honored that Seaman 1st Class Vock could be with us on July 13th.
