With spring cleaning completed, you might have left over items sitting in your basement or garage just waiting for a new home. Chicago Sky has a perfect opportunity for you to de-clutter your life!

The Chicago Chapter of the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO-Chicago) will host a “Get Organized Chicago” event in the Allstate Arena parking lot on Saturday, July 20 from 2-6 p.m before the Sky take on the New York Liberty. During the event they will collect donations of all kinds to be shredded, recycled and donated to local charities.

A variety of items will be gratefully accepted including clothing, books, eyeglasses, electronics, furniture, kids toys, shoes, coats, blankets, kitchenware, computers, pots & pans, jewelry, linens, decor, accessories, games media, sports equipment and recyclables. Paint, hazardous waste, batteries and medicine cannot be accepted, and those interested in donating are advised to consolidate items into one car-load.

Founded in 1990, NAPO-Chicago is dedicated to helping homes, businesses and offices around the greater Chicago, northern Indiana and southern Wisconsin areas become clutter-free. These professionals will take special care to make sure everything donated at the event will get reused or recycled properly. Items will be donated to Cornerstone Community Outreach and Goodwill Industries.

Everyone who donates an item at “Get Organized Chicago” on July 20 will receive 50% off tickets to the Sky’s game that evening against the New York Liberty. Come on down to the Allstate Arena to de-clutter and cheer on the Sky as they take on the Eastern Conference rivals led by Chicago native Cappie Pondexter.

If you can’t make it to Allstate Arena on Saturday you can catch all the action by tuning in to The U Too at 7pm CST or WNBA LiveAccess.
