Chicago Sky players, coaches and staff will honor the best fans in the WNBA at Allstate Arena on Sunday, September 4 during Fan appreciation Night as the Sky take on the Indiana Fever. Tipoff is at 5:00 p.m.
On this special night, the Sky will invite all of its fans to shoot baskets on the Sky floor, enjoy complimentary dessert and drinks and mingle with the players to celebrate a thrilling season with the Sky. The players will be available to sign autographs and take photos with the fans so be sure to bring along your Sky souvenirs. The entire team will be available until 8:30 p.m. The Sky players will also be giving some great prizes so be sure to enter to win by filling out an entry form at the Fan Services table on the concourse.
With the season coming to a close and a playoff race coming down to the wire, the Sky’s players and coaches know how important it is to connect with their fans.
“With the season being so hectic, we never really get to stop and hang out with our fans,” said Head Coach Pokey Chatman. “These are the people who are here though the good, bad and the ugly. We see their faces, we get their notes, their high fives after games, and it’s nice to stop and hang out with the fans that care about this team so much.”
Sky forward Tamera Young added, “Our fans are the reason why we are here. We wouldn’t be here playing in Chicago if it weren’t for our fans.”
Sky center and MVP candidate Sylvia Fowles loves the chance to connect with her fans. “Just to have one-on-one time with them, it means a lot to me,” she said.
It is going to be a great game and a great night. Don’t miss out as the Sky recognizes the most important people to the organization, YOU.
