The Chicago Sky selected Shey Peddy from Temple University with the 23rd overall pick in the 2012 WNBA Draft.

Peddy, a 5-7 guard from Temple, set the team’s all-time record for single season steals with 104, second best in the Atlantic 10.

She was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team and was an Atlantic 10 First Team Selection. Peddy was also honored as Philadelphia’s Big 5 Player of the Year. She was voted as team MVP and co-recipient of the team’s Top Defensive Player Award.

In 2012, Peddy’s extraordinary court vision and superb defensive abilities guided Temple to a 23-10 record. She also led her team to a spot in the Sweet Sixteen of the NCAA WNIT. In the postseason, Peddy averaged 21.7 points per game.

In her senior season, Peddy averaged 17.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game.

A graduate of Melrose High School in Melrose, Massachusetts, Peddy was named to the Super Team by the Boston Globe and the Dream Team by the Boston Herald.
