The non-displaced lower thumb fracture, called a Bennett’s fracture, is common in football players. Wyckoff fell on her hand midway through the fourth quarter of Thursday’s 75-69 victory over Charlotte. She was X-rayed Thursday night at the University of Illinois Medical Center and again Friday morning, according to head athletic trainer Georgia Fischer.
Wyckoff was acquired from the Connecticut Sun in the expansion draft. She has played in all 15 games this season, averaging 23 minutes and 3.3 points per game. Wyckoff, who played her college ball at Florida State, ranks 17th in the WNBA in blocks per game and 14th overall in blocks.
