Sky Dance Competition

The Sky held our first ever Chicago Sky Dance Competition on April 22. Eighteen highly talented dance teams from all over the Chicago-land area gathered at the UIC Pavilion and put on an exciting show.

The top four teams, chosen by our judges panel (which included Sky guard Stacey Dales) moved on to compete head-to-head to receive a contract to perform at future Sky home games.

On May 2, when the Sky battled the Phoenix Mercury, Chi-Town Cats took on House Arrest 2, with House Arrest 2 moving onto the finals. The May 15 Sky game featured Fusion facing-off against Perfect Tymin, with Fusion moving on.

On June 3, Fusion defeated House Arrest 2 in a close battle of two highly talented dance teams. Fusion received a grand prize of $1000 and a contract to perform at three Sky home games! House Arrest 2 was awarded $500 and a contract to perform at one Sky home game.
