Happy Father’s Day!

Happy Father's Day! Sky athletes would like to share with you their most memorable “Dad” moments.

Liz Moeggenberg

I have had a lot of great memories with my father over the years. Many of them involve doing things on the farm, like baling hay, going to buy a calf at the cattle auction for 4-H and taking it to the Northwest Michigan Fair, picking sweet corn, going camping and fishing...the list goes on and on. I would have to say that the greatest memory that I have had with my father was when we danced together at my wedding to the song, "I Loved Her First," by Heartland. It was just a great moment when both of us reflected on all the great memories that we have had together over the years and all our emotions were flowing. I remember my father even wiping away a tear from my eye.

I would have to say my best memories with my dad were around movies. He's a huge movie fan and he used to sneak just me and my sister out to the movies once a week for as long as I can remember. It was always just him and his little girls. I will always treasure that alone time he spent with just us.

Stephanie Raymond

My dad is a mechanic, I remember helping him work on cars in the garage. He would teach me about how cars work and what each part was on a car. This has been a big help to me, as you can imagine. It was always a blast to be with just my dad, and learn from the best. Also, another special memory I have about my dad is when we used to sit in front of the television and play video games together.

Claire Coggins

My dad and I used to play basketball in our driveway almost every day when I was growing up. He taught me almost everything that I know about the game today! Without him I probably would not be a member of the Chicago Sky.

Brooke Wyckoff

One of my favorite memories of my youth is when I was 5 years old and my dad took me to a Cubs game. It was my first professional sporting event, something that I will never forget. I remember riding the train down to the park, and spending the whole day inside of Wrigley Field with my dad, it was awesome!
