Dupree Checks in From Poland

Hey, Sky fans!!

For those of you who don't know, I am over in Krakow, Poland playing this off season. So far I have been enjoying myself. My teammates are really cool, the organization is great, and I'm in a beautiful city. My team has gotten off to a great start with a 14-3 record. We've lost two Euroleague games and one Polish League game. So far I have been playing OK. It has been a big adjustment for me because of the different coaching style. But hey, I do what I can and leave it at that.

Krakow is a great city with a lot of different sights to see, great shopping, and very nice restaurants. Unfortunately I haven't done much sight-seeing. I have no problem sitting in my apartment on the internet with my puppy. After practicing twice a day, the last thing I want to do is go out in the freezing cold and walk around! Hopefully after Christmas I will get out a little more. I plan on going to Auschwitz (one of the most infamous concentration camps during the Holocaust) and to some of the different mountain ranges in Poland.

The thing I enjoy most about playing overseas is the travel. A lot of the countries we go to have some beautiful sights and interesting things to see. I was just in Russia for my last game before the holiday break. The downside to playing in Russia is that it is absolutely freezing there. The upside, I got to see some familiar faces that play for the other team and hang out after the game.

I am so excited to be home for the holidays -- I feel like I haven't been home in forever. I can't wait to see my family and celebrate Christmas. No plans for the New Year as of yet but I am sure I'll find something interesting to do.

Well, that about sums it up. I hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and enjoy a Happy New Year! Be safe, and I will be seeing you all in May.
