Chicago Wolves Exec Joins Sky

We are thrilled to announce that Adam Fox will join the team as chief operating officer on November 5. Fox will lead the Sky's sales organization and will oversee game and business operations, reporting to Sky CEO Margaret Stender.

Fox brings 16 years of sports marketing and sales experience to the Sky. For the past eight years, he has been executive vice president of business operations for the Chicago Wolves. He joined the Wolves in ticket sales during the team's first year in 1994. After one season, he was named the team's merchandise director, and promoted to director of operations in 1996. Prior to joining the Wolves, Fox spent nearly five years working in sales and sports marketing, including a three-year stint with Elite Sports Marketing, which specializes in game-used and signed sports memorabilia. Fox set up and operated temporary stores selling officially licensed apparel at major sporting events around the country. Fox also spent two years as a district manager for Retail Star, Inc.

"I am thrilled to be a part of this team and all that it stands for," said Fox. "I am a father of two daughters, and I know first-hand how important it is for girls to have role models like the athletes in the WNBA. I've been through the start-up of a sports franchise and look forward to going through it again with 13 years of experience under my belt, to help build a team that will be a significant part of Chicago's proud professional sports tradition."

Chicago-native Fox received a bachelor's degree in speech from Indiana University. He and his wife Brooke have two daughters and live in Glencoe.
