Hey Sky fans, Coach Bo here, and welcome to Bo Knows… Each week or so, I will provide you with some “head coaching” insight about what's going on in the world of sports, and maybe beyond. Who knows, I may talk about my favorite movies or places to eat. You may even come across some insider information about what is going on with the Sky! This week...I thought I’d share some of the women’s NCAA games I’ll be watching through January 20 and what I’ll be keeping a close eye on.

Wed. Jan. 16

Kansas at Baylor 6pm CSTV

Young and talented Kansas team against a powerful, experienced Baylor team. Baylor has senior Angela Tisdale and sophomore forward Danielle Wilson. Kansas will rely on sophomore Danielle McCray and senior Taylor McIntosh.

Texas Tech at Kansas State 7pm FSN

Watch for K-State’s forward Marlies Gipson and guards Shalee Lehning and Kim Dietz. Texas Tech’s junior forward Dominic Seals had 22 points and 16 rebounds against SMU.


Thurs. Jan. 17

Purdue at Penn State 8pm Big 10 Network

Purdue is second in the league at 3-1, with Penn State right behind at 3-2.


Fri. Jan. 18

Maryland at Virginia Tech 6pm FSN

Maryland is coming off a big win at home vs. Duke and will probably have three seniors drafted in this year’s WNBA draft. Look for post Crystal Langhorne and Laura Harper with wing Marissa Coleman.


Sat. Jan. 19

Oklahoma State at Texas A&M 1pm FSN

Watch OSU’s Andrea Riley who had 45 last week against Oklahoma. Texas A&M has junior Danielle Gant who just collected her 500th rebound.

Colorado at Kansas State 7pm FSN

Look out for Jackie McFarland of Colorado who is averaging 20 points per game.


Sun. Jan. 20

Stanford at Arizona State 2pm FSN

Look for Stanford’s draft pick Candice Wiggins and the young post players Kayla Pedersen and Jayne Appel. Arizona State has started out 5-0 in the Pac 10.

Baylor at Oklahoma 2pm ESPN 2

Junior post Courtney Paris has an amazing 74 consecutive double doubles.

Wisconsin at Ohio State Noon Big 10 Network

NC State at Duke Noon RSN

Georgia Tech at Maryland 1pm

Mississippi State at LSU 2pm

Vanderbilt at Tennessee 2pm
