I love all kinds of sports, especially when I get a chance to play with my mascot pals. Today was no exception as I made my way to the Sears Centre for a Chicago Storm Indoor Soccer game. At halftime my mascot friends and I took on the media in the Mascot vs. Media Soccer Game. I was all over the field kicking the oversized soccer ball we used for our special game (just call me the next Pele). Despite my aggressive offense, my team was too slow to withstand the onslaught of our media foes. The media team was lightening quick and continually harassing our goal. That’s why I jumped in the goalie box to relieve my overwhelmed teammate. I’m pretty sure I didn’t give up any goals, but after several hits to the head by that huge ball I kind of lost track of where I was. Apparently, our media foes managed to outscore the mascot team. Regardless of the outcome, we all had a blast and I know the fans couldn’t get enough. |
