I started my day extra early today. I always say “The early Sky Guy gets the gummi worm” (yummy… gummi worms). I decided to get my exercise in early this morning, around 5:00am for a walk around downtown. When I got over to Pioneer Court over by the NBC5 studios, I took a break from my walk and decided to do some push-ups and jumping-jacks. In the middle of my exercises, I noticed a group of people wearing green scarves and green buttons that said “Start!” I was getting cold, so I decided to huddle around this group. Apparently they were with the American Heart Association for the media launch of their new program, Start! They gave me a green scarf and Start! Button, and asked me to join them, so I did. We made early morning appearances on the NBC, ABC, and Fox morning news programs. That’s right I was on TV! Anyway here’s a little info about Start! It is a movement calling on all Americans and their employers to live longer, more heart-healthy lives through walking and other healthy habits. To find out more go to the American Heart Association’s website. So what are you waiting for, Start! now!
