I heard that try-outs for “America’s Got Talent” were being held over at Navy Pier on Monday. Chicago is full of talented people (myself included) so I knew that I had to go check it out. Once I got to the Pier I realized that I had no idea where the try-outs were. I went everywhere, the Children’s Museum, and the Park (the Ferris Wheel is huge there!) I stared at this really weird statue made of a bunch of letters and numbers, but the letters and numbers told me nothing. I was lost and frustrated. I’d walked all the way to the end of Navy Pier and the try-outs were nowhere to be found. But just when I thought all hope was lost I spotted a sign for the try-outs. My frustration instantaneously switched to joy. But the good news didn’t end there. Right after I found the sign, I also found some friends of mine, the Chicago Boyz Acrobatic Team. They were there to perform one of their amazing jump rope routines and they even let me be a part of their performance. It was a great experience and I’d have to say that the journey was definitely worth it. |
