I went to Daley Plaza on Friday to go check out the Haunted Village and see the best Halloween decorations in town. The first thing that I noticed was all the really goofy pumpkins. They keep making faces at me. Then I saw a huge fountain of orange Kool-Aid. And wouldn’t you know it, the Kool-Aid guy busted out of the wall and yelled “Oh Yea!” All that wall busting and yelling nearly scared me to death (yes, even I get scared some times) so I ran away. But I wasn’t going to let that giant jug of juice ruin my Halloween, so I decided to make my way back to the Haunted Village on Saturday. On my way there I found some lost travelers. They couldn’t find the Sears Tower and I knew they needed my help. I found two nice ladies, who just so happened to be Sky fans, stopped at a stop light and they told me the precise location of Chicago’s tallest building. After my little path finding adventure I was back on my way to the Haunted Village. When I got there I was happily surprised by tons of kids with painted faces and great Halloween costumes. A clown made me a really cool balloon hat. With my new hat I was ready to have a costume contest with all the kids. But, right before the contest started my hat flew off my head. The people around me told me that the wind blew my hat off, but I was pretty sure that a pigeon took it. So, I tried to question the local pigeons to find out which one of their friends took my hat. They kept flying away from me so I didn’t get any answers from them. I decided to call a truce with the birds and we all spent some time by the fire keeping warm. For all of you around town wearing balloon hats you should watch out for the pigeons.
