The Hip Hop ConnXion is a not-for-profit hip hop dance team founded in March 1999 by Suavé, professional choreographer and dancer who has appeared in music videos and movies such as “Save the Last Dance.” The HHC is a co-ed professional dance troupe of all ages and races. HHC’s goal is to become part of the future of hip hop, spread a positive message and to be positive role models. Most HHC shows are geared towards youth outreach programs, charity and/or special promotional events. In partnership with the D.A.R.E, program, HHC performs in schools all over the country. At the 2006 USA and World Hip Hop Championships, The Hip Hop ConnXion took first place Gold in the USA Finals and second place Silver in the World Finals, and are revered as one of the top hip hop groups in the country. The team won first place in the 2004 and 2005 Urban Jamm National Finals. HHC is sponsored by the UFO Contemporary and Kinsuwear™ clothing lines. With headquarters in Wheeling and Aurora, HHC also has branches in Indiana, Michigan and downtown Chicago, with more dance companies to be opened nationwide.
