Candi Gomez is a native of Chicago and has been working in the city’s radio and television scene for over a decade. She discovered her interest in radio while in high school, beginning her career at a small station on Chicago's southside, doing the "Boys and Girls Club." She attended UIC, then switched to Columbia College to pursue a degree in broadcast journalism. Candi recently co-hosted the nationally televised show "The Black College Quiz," and just wrapped up a comedy skit for "Funny or Die." She recently ended a 12-year run on B96 Radio, and is currently on-air with 103.5, KISS FM.

3 Causes You Believe In: This list could go on forever. First and foremost, I think we need to start helping out our own country and focusing on some of the many overwhelming problems people face here daily. Child abuse, drug abuse, the homeless, battered women and animal cruelty just to name a few. I believe in educating the public on such issues and all of us doing what we can to help discourage and stop such horrible behavior and lifestyles. We all need to be involved and be supportive of one another and reach out to those who may be in need of help.

Favorite Artist: Can't just pick one, so here's a few. Mary J. Blige, Bon Jovi, Prince, Santana and The Rolling Stones.

Favorite Movie: I love movies that can make me laugh or even cry. Old black & white movies are classics! Also a few good picks: Old School, Dirty Love, all Lord of the Rings, Better Off Dead and The Color of Life.

Favorite Book: Ooh, so many choices!!! In addition to the daily paper and weekly magazines, I try to knock out a couple books a month. Just like movies, I love books that touch me. Right now I'm reading Marley and Me.
