Alan Cox is the host of The Morning Fix on Q101.1, and is considered one of the most diligent spellers in broadcasting. After beginning as a stand-up comic and banjo pioneer over a decade ago, his travels as a radio and TV host have finally deposited him back in his hometown. Alan has written columns for Maniac magazine and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, and was recently honored in Radio & Records as "one of radio's hosts.” He is beyond ecstatic to be back home in Chicago and a part of a new era at Q101.1. Alan's extracurricular activities include crushing on the drums, blindfolded spelunking, and gene-splicing a yak with a sweet potato. He lives in Chicago’s West Town neighborhood, where he subsists primarily on tequila and organic apples, and cannot swim.
