On Sunday, October 8, 2006, Sky forward Brooke Wyckoff will participate in the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes. She will be available to sign autographs during check-in while accompanied by Sky Guy and will then participate in the walk following the autograph session.

The Ron Santo Walk to Cure Diabetes is one of the over 200 JDRF Walk to Cure Diabetes events nationwide. Walkers are asked to collect donations prior to the event to raise money for research to find a cure for type 1 diabetes—which affects nearly 3 million Americans.

The Event will begin at 9:30 a.m. preceded by a light lunch that will be served for all walkers that raised $100 or more. These individuals will be treated to a free t-shirt as well as activities such as music, entertainment, and children’s games.
