Brooke, who was born in Lake Forest and went to high school in West Chester, Ohio, had an impressive first season with Connecticut, finishing 4th in rebounding and 11th in assists per game among rookies. In 2002, she was second on the team in blocks with 18 and tied for 27th in the WNBA in blocked shots. By her third year, Brooke played in every game and tied for second on the team in blocks with 19. She had the third most three-pointers, 20, and was fourth on team with 33 steals.
Brooke spent her collegiate years at Florida State where she left her mark as one of the ACC’s top players. She exited FSU in its top 10 in shot-blocking (the ACC’s sixth all-time), rebounds, steals, rebounds per game and scoring. She was first team All-ACC in 2001 and a two-time member of the ACC All-Defensive team.
Brooke has a degree in social science education. One of six children, she attended Lakota High School in West Chester, Ohio where she was inducted into the 2003 class of the Lakota Athletic Hall of Fame.
Wyckoff is a worldwide vet; she plays in Spain in the off-season, playing last for Mann Filter of Zaragoza and is very proud of her Spanish.
