On Jennifer Azzi - “ She was very aggressive. She had control of the floor and the game.”

On Sylvia Crawley - “She was huge off the bench. We have high expectations for Sylvia. Tonight was an indication of what she is capable of doing.”

Margo Dydek:

“We just want to get a couple of wins before the All-Star Break. We still have the second half of the season to try and make the playoffs and fight for a championship. We need to get our confidence back.”

On being chosen for the All-Star team - “I still have the season to worry about. Maybe after the Sacramento game I’ll think of the All-Star game.”

Adrienne Goodson:

On her calf injury - “It felt bad. I strained the calf muscle. We’re just going to take it one day at a time and see what happens. I want to make sure it doesn’t become an issue for us. ”

On keys to the game - “We didn’t rebound very well. There was a big differential on the boards. The points in the paint were really lopsided too.”

“They shot well and they have a great player in Marie Ferdinand and Goodie had a good night.”

On Mercury offense - “We took to many quick shots.”

“Usually when we play them, we make a big run and when we got to within nine in the second half, I thought we were going to turn on our jets, but we just didn ’t make a run today.”

On Silver Stars keys - “They had the 6th man in the crowd - they were really loud tonight. ”

“Marie Ferdinand got really aggressive and when she got to the line, she staye don the line.”

On Azzi’s buzzer beater - “There wasn’t just one shot - there was an onslaught of shots.”

On personal play - “I might have gotten down on myself because my shot wasn’t going in. I jammed my finger in practice yesterday and so today I was figuring out a way to help my team so that’s when I decided to hit the boards.”
