Silver Stars Head Coach Shell Dailey:

On team performance - "The season ended the way I wanted it to. Overall we ended on a positive note, even though tonight did not go the way we wanted it to.”

On things to work on - “We know that we have to develop the bench to contribute in game situations. We have some rookies that know that they have to be ready to play whenever they are needed.”

Adrienne Goodson:

On the game - "I think tonight was a good game. We wanted to keep it close and have the opportunity to come out of here with a win. It got a little rough at times, but that’s how the game is when we play Los Angeles. We know it’s going to be a physical game and we have to prepare for it."

On changes for next season – “I think we need to work on coming together as a team so that next year we can be a contender for the playoffs. We also need to find a team chemistry that will put us back into contention."

Margo Dydek:

On the end of the season - "This season had a lot of ups and downs. We were able to execute in some games and came out flat in others. It’s a must that we stay consistent."

On changes in her game - "Two of the biggest thing I needed to work on was being more aggressive and moving to get the ball. By being 7’2, I can get into the post but I need someone to help me out in the post so I have other options.”

Sparks Head Coach Michael Cooper:

On the game - "I thought it was an excellent game. I thought we played a little on the dull side, but it was a work-woman like effort, I’m glad to get the win."

On the winning their 4th Western Conference Championship - "It is very special, we’ve been through a lot with this team this year. I am glad to see them respond to adversity in tough situations and still maintain a professional attitude about what we have to do."

Nikki Teasley:

On how the team prepared differently for tonight’s match-up - "We really did not do anything differently. We have a momentum right now and we have a championship mentality. That is what is carrying us through all of our games. Having a full roster has also has helped us win recent games. The team is clicking right now, and I think that is what is making a difference in the last couple of games.”

On Monday’s game against Houston - "It is really important because we may see them again. We want to set an example and let them know that we are ready for the playoffs. We just have to continue the way we have been playing and we should be fine."

Lisa Leslie:

On winning their 4th Western Conference Championship - "It is very special, it is just hard to celebrate it because as soon as you are done with that, we [the team] have to focus on the bigger picture, the WNBA Championship. We take a lot of pride in the Western Conference Championship, but obviously there is no banner saying that we won it [The Western Conference Championship].”

On winning tonight’s game with the off-court distractions surrounding the team - “This has been a year of adversity for the Sparks. It has been very draining at times. It has not been easy, but to raise that banner and win a championship will make it all that much sweeter.”
