Silver Stars Head Coach Shell Dailey:

On evaluating the game - "We just go back to where we went wrong and we just start to correct it because that’s what we’ve done since we took over. We just go back and re-evaluate things and just try to correct it.”

On the game - “Well, we turned the ball over. If you look at the stats, you’ll see that we turned the ball over. We weren’t able to execute because we couldn’t get the ball down the floor. That’s where some of the errors came in. We just made some mistakes. Hopefully we just have to be aware of how to break a press again. We struggled with that and that’s how they were able to capitalize on it."

Sylvia Crawley:

On moving on after the loss - "[We have to] Forget about tonight. We just bounce back and get our minds ready for LA."

On the game – “We just needed some defensive stops, and we didn’t get that. We let outside factors rattle us. We needed to pull together as a team in that area and just attack the basketball."

Margo Dydek:

On bouncing back after the game - "Our next game is tomorrow against LA. It’s going to be tough, but it’s going to be our last game in the season, so we’re going to try to win, especially after a loss like that. We need to be more focused on what we want to do."

On the game - "In the first half I think they had too many outside shots. They were just shooting a high percentage. Out defense, our pressure on the boards, was not there."

Mercury Head Coach John Shumate:

On the game - "Well I guess we saved our best for last, how sweet it was. Probably the most enjoyable part of tonight was when I sat on the bench and I reflected back on the season and I could recall all of the tough losses, all the struggles and all of the ups and downs and for them after the last home game to have the energy, focus, the concentration, the enthusiasm, discipline, and the execution was a credit to them as a group. Because they were focused, showed great discipline and they could have thrown the towel in a long time ago, but they showed what they are made out of and that’s why they have always been right there."

On the players - "You can’t say enough about Anna (DeForge), you cant say enough about Kayte (Christensen), but what I saw was great growth by TJ (Jackson) at the point position. I thought that she was masterful.”

Anna DeForge:

On expecting to be Sol leading scorer this year - "No, not at all. At the beginning of the season I was just very happy and very grateful just to be on another WNBA team and have a job in this league. What a great end to a tough season; a season that we will remember, a season that we battled through and fought through. We are just going to turn that experience into something positive next year. The way we ended showed great progress and great signs of what’s to come for the Mercury."

Lisa Harrison:

On how the Sol has improved this year - "We learned how to play better together. We had to learn a whole new system this year and had a lot of new players. We are starting to learn each other’s “ways”. Unfortunately the season is ending just when we started getting our rhythm together. Now we know that we can play well together, and compete with anyone in this league.”
