Silver Stars Head Coach Shell Dailey:

On the game - "We didn’t focus on L.A. We’re just doing the things that we needed to improve on. We’re just going game by game, we’re not looking ahead. We know (L.A.) is a team of runs, we’ve seen the pattern. They’re talented enough to come back and we told the team to expect it. This time they hung in there.”

On playing at home - “It’s good to play at home. We beat L.A. on the road but for the most part it’s good to be home and have the fans behind us. I think it puts the players at ease, especially some of the younger ones. It puts them in a comfort zone.”

Marie Ferdinand:

On the game - "We played bad the last game (against Sacramento). We focused more on rebounding, not on L.A. We just wanted the game. We played hard and we played like we wanted it. We did all the little things to earn this victory."

On L.A. in the 2nd half - ““L.A. is best in the second half and we tend to come out more relaxed. If you give them any room, they’ll feed off your mistakes.”

Adrienne Goodson:

On learning the Sparks - "We played them (L.A.) so much last year, that we’re starting to learn a lot about them. They’re a team that plays in spurts and runs. If you make a mistake, they make you pay for it. I think we’ve got their number because we’ve played them enough."

On playing at home vs. on the road – “Playing on the road is tough. Last year we had the characteristics to get away games. We’re learning right now. It’s hard to play against another team and their fans. It’s good to be home. We appreciate the fans and the crowds."

Margo Dydek:

On playing Seattle - "I don’t remember (the forty point loss to Seattle). I try to forget the bad things. It’s a new game and Seattle is a much better team now than even L.A. It will be a difficult game, but we have nothing to lose."

Tamecka Dixon:

On the game - "We did not come out, especially at the beginning of the first half and match their intensity in the first half. They went on an 18-0 run. We’ve got to come out and play harder. We were in the game. It was just lack of effort and defensive intensity in the second half.”

On if injuries were hurting the team - "Tremendously, not only Lisa but also Delisha being out hurts us. Both of our star post players down really hurts us."

On playing back-to-back games - “It did not affect us at all. Everybody in the league plays back to back. You’ve got to be mentally tough. You can’t come out with a half effort and expect to win a game.”
