“I’m proud of our bench. They had great energy. It’s not good ever for everyone to not show up and I don’t mean that in a negative way. Jennifer (Azzi) was unbelievable. It was a spectacular individual performance.”

On Semeka Randall - “Energy, passion, fire. She plays like she enjoys the game. She lifts everyone up including the crowd. I have respect for her whether she plays two minutes or twenty. She’s consistent."

On Semeka Randall - "She did a great job. She had hustle plays and she never stopped playing. She brought great energy. I don’t know why we don’t play like that all the time."

On the team play - “I have no idea what it is. It’s all the little things that add up. It’s not talent or scoring ability; it’s things like defensive stops and getting back on defense. It’s not that complicated. We’re just not getting it done.”

Semeka Randall:

"I’m not a superstar in this game. I just know that I play with my heart; it’s all I have control over day in and day out. I know what I bring. I can be sort of a leader on a energy level."

On another win - "Feels good. Feels real good. I’m just real happy for this team. This season is one where we’ve had to show a lot of character, and handle adversity.”

“In a lot of ways we’re a young team and so we’ve been working to pull together and now we’ve seen an upward trend since beating Seattle."

On Randall - “Semeka was having her way with us. She plays so emotionally and physically. When we tried to help on her, Jackson was getting the weak side rebounds. We got a time out and pulled together to get a couple of stops and more boards.”

“The first five minutes of the second half, we were settling for jump shots. Our plan was to attack the rim and work outside. But in the first five, we were doing things backwards and that triggered their fast break.”

“I thought keeping our turnovers below ten was great and we had great free throw and field goal percentages tonight.”

“We have respect for this team. They’re similar to us in a lot of ways. They can be dangerous.”
